Pavelka Health inspired me to make a conscious choice to stop existing and start living: no more excuses. It was an emotional time but I began clean eating the next day and planned how I would incorporate exercise into my holiday following week. Fuelled with enthusiasm I got out there and rode a camel into the Sahara. I used the hotel gym four times that week and started to increase my running/walking ratio on the treadmill, I upped this further using the C25K app building up to running 5k over the next 5 weeks to run my first organised 5k in Greenwich Park February 2014 which I completed, 3.5 stones lighter from letting the healthy choices add up.

Throughout the year I did organised 5 & 10k runs, always maintaining my clean eating and training.  There have been many challenges, including a fire walk, CN tower edge walk, zip wires, WOLF runs, and a 300ft bungee jump. Some of the challenges were more personal and less adrenalin filled such as wearing a fitted dress at a ball, having lost 6 stones it’s a bit strange choosing clothes like this after hiding for most of my life. I’ve got more challenges to look forwards to, all of which maintain my motivation.

I’m still a work in progress but at least I’m now able to enjoy the process and not putting off living my life anymore, thanks to Pavelka.
